ERASMUS

The KatHO NRW is a holder of the ERASMUS University Charter, which was awarded to it again by the European Commission in 2007 due to its experience in the field of European university cooperation. The university participates in the EU's Life Long Learning Programme (LLP-ERASMUS).

ERASMUS funding is provided by the home institution. For information on the level of grants payable, please contact the International Office at your home institution.

Application Process

We kindly ask you to apply using this ERASMUS application form.

It is compulsory that you send the printed application form with all significant signatures by post mail, in order to be registered as an exchange student.

Compulsory required documents

  • Application Form
  • Certificate of Enrolment of Home University
  • Transcript of records
  • Copy of Health Insurance/ Private Insurance
  • Copy of passport/ identity card

Deadline for Applications

30th May is the closing date for applications for the Full Year/Winter Semester
31st December is the closing date for applications for the Summer Semester

German Language requirements

Lectures are usually conducted through the medium of German. A good knowledge of German is therefore essential. Each international student applicant must master the German language sufficiently well to be able to understand lectures and to be able to work with German language text books.

KatHO NRW recommends that all students should have a standard in German of DSH 2 or TestDAF, before starting their studies at KatHO NRW. Any student below this level will find it very difficult to study through German.

Admission

Once your application has been approved you will receive a letter confirming your acceptance, you need to take for the enrolment in the student registration office when you come to KatHO NRW to commence your studies.

If, for some reason, you are unable to accept your place at KatHO NRW please advise the International Office as soon as possible.

Registration

In order to register as an Exchange Student you should have the following documentation with you on arrival at the university:

  • Your acceptance letter from KatHO NRW
  • Proof of personal identity (passport or national identity card)
